Hello-

This year has been phenomenal! Congratulations again to our Stratton Community for achieving the Capturing Kids’ Hearts Na-tional Showcase Award! Thank you to all of the students, par-ents, and staff who have given 100% to Stratton Elementary School. Many who visit talk about the warm feelings they get when touring the school. Everyone at Stratton is responsible for the joys of learning.

We really do have the most amazing volunteers! Thanks to each and every one of you for providing your time and love to our school. Our community thrives be-cause of the support you give to it. We are grateful for every moment you give to the children at Stratton.

Our current D11 k-5th grade students have an opportunity to join the Summer En-richment School program. Transportation will be provided for children from their home school to the closest summer school location. Free breakfast and lunch are a part of the offerings. Please call Mrs. Gunty for more information.

Saying goodbye is never easy! As we finish the school year, we are getting ready to wish our 5th graders well as they transition to sixth grade. Some students are ready to move on while others are a bit reticent. I know I will miss all of our students as they leave Stratton Elementary School. The Continuation Celebration is scheduled for Monday, May 20th @ 9:00 am.

We are also saying goodbye to three fabulous staff members. Mrs. Keating, 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Tindell, cafeteria manager, and Mrs. Gunty, front office as-sistant are all retiring. We wish them all a joyful and fun-filled journey. Many thanks to each for their passion and love for education.

Please welcome Principal Pat Ring for a two week time frame as she covers for me while I am out for hip surgery. Mrs. Ring was the principal at Stratton many years ago and I know she is excited to return.

There is a whirlwind of exciting activities scheduled for the last few weeks of school. See our calendar for information. If your child will not be joining us next year, please call the school and let us know.

Until next year-

Mrs. Edner

Medication Reminder

for Parents/ Guardians

Please plan to come by the school office on the last day of school on May 21st to pick up your student's medication. It is the policy of School District Eleven not to send medication home with students. We will dispose of any medication left at school after the end of the school year.

Please pick up a new student medication form in case your child needs medication next school year. Please remind your physician to put only one medication on each form. The form may be photo-copied.

There are many coats, hats, gloves and other items that have been found. Please take a moment to peruse
