Breakfast & Lunch at Stratton

September 17th, 2020

Dear Stratton Families,

As we approach the return of students to the classroom we are also updating the breakfast & lunch program.  The emergency feed program will stay in effect through the end of December; so that means all children ages 1-18 will continue to receive free breakfast & lunch Monday through Friday.  The last day for curbside pickup will be Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020.  Breakfast will be provided from 7:30-8:30 & lunch will be served from 11:00-12:40 beginning Monday, September 21s t in the cafeteria.  All students are eligible for the free breakfast & lunch regardless if they are continuing with virtual learning or in-school at Stratton.  Please come to the cafeteria during the above listed hours to get your breakfast & lunch.

Thank you,

Once again we have a new update. The great news is that District #11 has been approved for the emergency feed program. Regardless of financial status, breakfast & lunch are free to every child from age 1 thru age 18. Meals are available curbside daily from 11:15 to 12:15, it will include a lunch & a breakfast for the next morning. On Friday, meals will be provided not only for Friday but for the weekend as well. We will continue to have breakfast & lunch at the school on Tuesdays & Thursdays for students that are attending school those days. Breakfast starts at 7:30 & lunch at 11:15.

Stratton Families:

Starting Monday, August 31st, 2020 Stratton will be offering 2 options for lunch & breakfast Monday through Friday.  You can either come inside to the cafeteria & pickup breakfast between 7:30 & 8:15 am & lunch between 11:20 & 12:30 & get a hot  or cold lunch—OR--we will have curbside service daily in front of the school from 11:30 to 12:30 in which you can pick up a sack lunch for the day & a breakfast for the following morning if you would like.  Students are not required to be present, however;  we will need their name & school so we can correctly account for the meals.  Don’t forget to apply for free or reduced lunches online at If your student pays for their lunch the daily cost is $2.65 & breakfast is $1.50.  You will need to go to the  website to add monies to their accounts since we will not be handling cash for the curbside service.  You are more than welcome to bring money (check or cash) into the cafeteria instead of online if you prefer.

Hope you all have a safe school year. Please contact me at 719-328-3432 if you have any further questions.  I am in the kitchen daily from 6:30 to 1:00.
