Severe Weather Dismissal

King Families and Community,

Every year we seem to have an instance of severe weather during dismissal time at King (last year it was the first day of school).  In an effort to be proactive, I would like to remind you of our severe weather dismissal procedures:

If we are doing a severe weather dismissal (usually in the event of lightning, heavy rain, hail, or heavy snow), the yellow flag will be on the main flag pole.  We will dismiss our bus riding students first to load buses when it is safe to do so.

All Kiss N' Go students and Kinder Pick-Up students will be sent to the Band/Orchestra room (this door is located at the front of the building by the benches). Parents in the Kiss N' Go lane need to stay in their cars and a staff member will bring your students out to your car. Parents who usually meet their Kindergarten student out front can also go to the band/orchestra room to pick up their student.

All other students who meet their parents outside or walk home will be released to go if the weather is safe outside. Please remember to stay in your car if you are in the Kiss N' Go lane. This will help with a safe and quick dismissal process.
