Every March, 6th and 7th graders will be invited to apply to National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). Students must maintain a 3.5 average during the first three academic quarters of the year and citizenship scores of 4 and 5. Membership is highly selective and applications are scored on our core beliefs which center around the pillars of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and Citizenship. Holmes' NJHS chapter is highly active, meets twice a month, and conducts community service within our school and the community. Last year our members volunteered more than 1,800 hours! Members cannot miss more than three chapter meeting during the school year.
