FAQs

What is SchooLinks

SchooLinks is a dynamic application that helps D11 students create a roadmap for future college and career goals. Students log in, take fun quizzes about their skills, interests, and goals, then see the steps necessary to achieve their college and career aspirations.

As students search for and tag schools and careers, critical information about application and scholarship deadlines, costs, decision timelines, and documentation shows up in their account to keep them on track throughout their educational journey. SchooLinks gives parents, students, teachers, and support staff a clear view of a student’s goals and their progress toward meeting those goals. It's free for life and easy to use.

Programs

Advanced Placement (AP) Courses

Advanced Placement (AP) courses are college-level classes designed for students who want to push themselves academically and possibly earn college credit before they graduate from high school.

By enrolling in AP courses, students gain advantages like demonstrating to colleges that they are committed to their education and prepared to take on challenging coursework. In fact, 85% of selective colleges and universities report that a student’s participation in AP courses positively influences their admission decisions.

Check out the AP courses available at your high school in their course catalog:

Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC)

The Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) is a high school program designed to cultivate strong values in students, such as citizenship, responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment. While it incorporates military-inspired aspects, it is not a recruitment tool for the military. Instead, JROTC focuses on leadership development, civic engagement, and character building.

Want advanced military promotion or an appointment to a Service Academy? District 11 is proud to offer award-winning JROTC programs at both Doherty and Mitchell High Schools, where students don’t just learn, they lead. Join a legacy of excellence and unlock your potential!
