New Parking Lot Traffic Flow

We would like to remind families that beginning Wednesday morning, our parking lot will operate under a new traffic flow. Please review the information below outlining how the parking lot will function moving forward.

Key Updates:

Student Drivers

• All student drivers will continue to enter campus through the Southwest entrance (closest to the teacher parking lot).

• This adjustment is designed to reduce congestion and improve the efficiency of parent drop-off and pick-up.

• When exiting campus, all student drivers will use the Northeast exit (at the traffic light).

Parent/Guardian Drivers

Parents and guardians will have two options for student drop-off and pick-up:

1. Northeast Entrance (at the traffic light):

• Leads to the front of the school for drop-off and pick-up.

• Vehicles will exit via the Southwest exit, which is right-turn only onto Fillmore.

• Vehicles using this route will no longer be allowed to make a left turn back into the parking lot to access the traffic light exit.

2. Southwest Entrance (closest to the teacher parking lot):

• Leads to a newly designated Student Drop-off and Pick-up Zone for added convenience.

• Vehicles will exit through the Northeast exit (traffic light), allowing for both right and left turns when leaving campus.

To assist with this transition, we have attached a visual map and included a video created by KUGR TV that explains the new traffic patterns:

Peak drop-off and pick-up times are between 7:20–7:45 AM and 3:10–3:30 PM. When possible, we encourage families to drop off before 7:20 AM and/or pick up after 3:30 PM to help minimize delays.

If you have any questions or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain a safe and efficient campus for everyone.

Warm regards,

The Coronado High School Team
