Mr Philipsen CO Teacher of the Year Semifinalist!
We’re proud to share that Tyler David Philipsen, English and video production teacher at Coronado High School, has been named a semifinalist for the 2026 Colorado Teacher of the Year!
Selected from 419 applicants across 106 districts, Tyler is one of just 22 educators recognized statewide by the Colorado Department of Education. He leads Coronado’s KUGR-TV broadcast, advises student media, and has inspired D11 students for 15 years.
Way to go, Mr. Philipsen!
