Other Information

PPLA is a CDE-approved Principal/Administrator Induction program. Candidates must be in school-based administrator positions to qualify (Principal, Assistant Principal, and Athletic Directors). When inductees complete the program, they will submit the Induction Certificate of Completion to CDE to advance to a Professional License.

To earn a Professional Principal/Administrator License, inductees must attend all classes for the duration of the class period. Classes are in-person. PPLA partners will notify inductees in case of any changes. Attendance and time in class is critical to maintain CDE program approval.

If an inductee misses a class for any reason (district business, illness, or other scenario), the inductee will collaborate with the PPLA partners and their district supervisor to make up the content of the class. Inductees are responsible for making up the class or repeating the missed class the following year. Contact ashley.angiollo@d11.org or vincent.berryman@d11.org if you will be more than 15 minutes late for class. Any arrival after 5:30 PM is considered an absence.

It is the inductees’ responsibility to integrate PPLA topics into discussions with their mentor. This provides opportunities for the inductee to reflect on the topic’s relevance and applicability to their daily work experience and to receive expert feedback.

Make payments for the PPLA program to Widefield School District 3, as seen on the PPLA invoice. Many districts cover the PPLA Induction fee so please discuss payment with your supervisor.

Room temperatures fluctuate so please come prepared. Dinner is provided for inductees and instructors beginning at 4:45 PM. If you have specific dietary needs, please plan accordingly. Parking in front of the building is limited. Parking is available at the back, east-side of the building. Please follow parking rules or you may be ticketed.
