All new district certified hires are required to attend a New Teacher Orientation, as identified in the CSEA’s Master Agreement.

Article X, Teaching Conditions/ Assignments states in Section A.1. Required Days: The school calendar determines those days during which a teacher is required to perform assigned duties without special compensation. The school year will be based upon the calendar with the understanding that the school calendar is subject to emergency changes, but that such changes shall not affect the total number of work days required, that is one hundred eighty-five (185) days, and up to three (3) additional days for teachers new to the District.
