Profile EAP is a full service Employee Assistance Program headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Started in 1982 by Penrose-St. Francis Health Services and now part of Total Healthcare - backed by the staff, facilities and resources of Centura Health, Profile EAP provides services to both the employee and the employer.
Our experienced staff is trained to assist you and your employees in all areas of employee assistance; from counseling to substance abuse; management consultations to trainings and leadership development to trauma debriefings.

Profile Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a benefit provided to you by your employer.
Your employer recognizes that, at any time, you or your family members may experience personal difficulties that may seriously affect your life. If these difficulties go unresolved for a period of time, they are likely to impair your ability to cope as effectively at home and on the job. Because of this, your employer encourages you to seek help early to prevent small problems from getting out of hand and creating greater problems. They know that what goes on at home affects your job - and what goes on at work affects your family.
This benefit is provided to you by your employer - at no cost to you. When you use your EAP benefit you never pay a co-pay, nor do we bill your insurance.
Counseling services are available to employees and their immediate family members (dependents residing in their household) for companies who have contracted with Profile EAP. What you get is quality, confidential treatment. Profile EAP is a group of well-trained, experienced, professional counselors that utilize a short-term therapy approach designed to bring helpful results in a short period of time. The counselor will help you outline what goals you have and what you believe needs to change to achieve those goals. Through their assessment skills they might determine that an issue will require more in-depth counseling and then they will make an appropriate referral. EAP services are strictly confidential. - Check with PERA to see what your monthly payments would be upon retirement.
- Ask for a PERA Retirement Packet to be sent to your home.
- Go to PERA meetings offered around town to enquire more information concerning retirement.
- Go to the Labor Relations page and click on the website for your employee group to view the Seniority List to see where you on the overall list.
- Look for E-mails and flyers announcing when the due dates for the Non-Binding Letters of Intent for retirement are to be returned to HR. (Generally letters are due the 2nd work day after Thanksgiving)
- Send a Non-Binding Letter of Intent to the Human Resources Department by the due date. (Generally letters are due the 2nd work day after Thanksgiving)
- A confirmation letter will be sent indicating that your Non-Binding-Letter of Intent Form has been received and then you are considered for the Retirement Incentive Program (RIP).
- Of those who apply for retirement, prospective retirees with the greatest seniority are eligible to receive a 75% buyout of their unused sick leave. In addition, they may be eligible to continue their medical insurance for a period of up to two years at district rates. Who qualifies for these options?
- Teachers: The top forty (40) teachers who apply are eligible for this plan;
- ESP: The top twenty (20) ESP employees who apply are eligible for this plan (must have a minimum of 15 years of service with the district);
- Exec-Prof: Any Executive-Professional employees with 5 or more years as an Executive-Professional will be eligible for a pro-rated share of available sick leave payout funds.
- Letters received after the deadline will not be considered for the Retirement Incentive Program (RIP).
- You may still retire at any time without being eligible for the Retirement Incentive Program (RIP) and you may also work a transition year.
