Candidate information is posted in accordance with C.R.S. 22-31-107 for each of the candidates running for election to the Colorado Springs School District 11 Board of Education. Statute requires this information to be posted in alphabetical order by candidate surname.

Important Dates to Remember:

August 9th – First day to circulate nomination petitions. (1-4-803(1)(b), C.R.S.)

August 16th, 3:30 pm - Potential Board Candidate Informational Meeting
Boardroom - Main Administration Building

The potential candidates who are unable to attend are encouraged to participate remotely by watching the live stream broadcast at: https://www.d11.org/TV. A recording of the informational meeting will be made available to the public via BoardDocs.

September 1st, 5:00 p.m. – Last day to file a nomination petition. (1-4-803(2), C.R.S.) (67 days before election)
Last day for school director candidates to file a nomination petition with circulators’ notarized affidavits, a notarized acceptance of nomination, and written notice of intent to be a candidate. Colo. Rev. Stat. §§ 1-4-803(2); 22-31-107(2).

Nomination petitions must be submitted by 5:00 pm to the Central Administration Building, Board of Education Office Room 206, located at 1115 N. El Paso St., Colorado Springs, CO 80903

September 1st – Last day to file as a write-in candidate. (1-4-1102(2), C.R.S.)

September 5th, 11:00 am – Name Lot Drawing

The official drawing to establish the order of candidates' names on the ballot. Candidates are welcome to attend the drawing, but it is not required.

November 7th – Election Day (1-1-104(39), C.R.S.)
