Mrs. Karges

Hello! My name is Adita Karges and I am excited to be back for my fourth year at Queen Palmer as one of the 5th grade teachers! This is my 15th year of teaching and all have been in District 11. I have taught all grades K-5 including a 3rd/4th grade combo class for two years. I earned my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Literacy in 2014 from UCCS. I hope to one day earn my Doctorate. I love learning and love to pass that love onto my students.

A little personal information. I met my husband when we were 16 years old and we’ve been together for 38 years and married for almost 33 years. We have two amazing grown daughters, one sweet son-in-law, and one amazing grand-daughter, plus one very spoiled grand-doggy. In my spare time, I love to travel, go to the beach, camp, hike, run races, triathlons, compete in Half-Iron Mans, read, and kayak. Looking forward to a great school year!
