About Our School

  • Christa McAuliffe Elementary at Cimarron Hills launched on August 16th, 2007 and has been serving the Cimarron Hills community ever since.  We offer every child the opportunity to receive personalized learning opportunities through differentiated instruction, technology integration, and collaboration.

    Mission:  McAuliffe’s mission is to provide excellent, distinctive, educational experiences that equip students for success today and in the future. We accomplish our mission by:
    • Creating student-centered, personalized instruction incorporating 21st Century skills and utilizing a standards-based instructional model
    • Developing students who will have innovative thinking and problem-solving skills, be able to effectively use technology, have effective communication skills, and evidence cultural competence;
    • Having programing that includes a strong gifted and talented program, English Language Learner program, and special education department;
    • Complementing our solid, Colorado State standards-based curriculum, by offering music, band, orchestra, physical education, and spatial-temporal math;
    • Providing extracurricular activities, such as Student Council, after school sports, Battle of the Books, Underwater Robotics Club, Rocketry Club, Yearbook Club, Art Club, German Club, and science fair activities;
    • Cultivating strong community support for our school and its families.
