Science education in Colorado Springs School District 11 develops scientific literacy for all students. Scientific literacy includes an understanding and appreciation of the natural world coupled with the development of scientific practices such as critical thinking and problem solving, which transfer into other disciplines and promote postsecondary and workforce readiness.
