Welcome! I am Jennifer Severson! As a fourth generation native of Colorado Springs, I grew up on the west side and attended D11 schools myself, so it feels like a second home at Chipeta.  

I have been teaching as my second career for the last 12 years and absolutely love it! Prior to teaching, I worked in a pharmacy for 16 years, where I obtained a mountain of experiece in math, science, and design and marketing. I planned and organized conferences with doctors and nurses from all over the country. What an exciting background to have going into teaching!

As much as I love teaching, the best part of my life is my family! I am blessed to have 2 children, 2 step-children, and one grand daughter! We love the outdoors and camp frequently any time of the year; yes, even in the snow! My husband and I enjoy long motorcycle rides, and in the summer I love gardening.
