• Important Update:

    8th Grade Parents and Guardians,

Due to the D11 Superintendent Candidate Public Interviews recently scheduled on May 24th, the D11 Educational Television department was forced to cancel our live stream and recording of the Holmes 8th Grade Continuation Ceremony in order to live stream the superintendent interviews. Please note, that there will no longer be a live stream or recording of the Holmes 8th Grade Continuation Ceremony on May 24.

Even though this circumstance was out of our control, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your understanding.

    Anthony Karr, Principal

Holmes 8th Grade Parents and Guardians,

Please see the attached flyer for the 8th Grade Continuation 2022. The flyer was created by Holmes students in our Foundations of Design class. Please note, if you are attending in person, seating is limited to immediate household family members only.

Additionally, this event will be live streamed, recorded, and posted online for families to see. The link for the live stream, and the password required to view the recording will be sent to 8th grade families in May, as the event gets closer.

We look forward to celebrating with your students.

    Anthony Karr, Principal

  • Looking for ways to support your students' education? Staying involved can take as little as 5 minutes a week or an hour per month. Please consider a visit to our Volunteer Opportunity page on the Holmes website to learn more.

    Recently added volunteer opportunities include:

Fridays, 11:00-12:40 (Can work one Friday a month or as many as four): Work our Hawk Shop during lunches to provide students with an opportunity to buy prizes with their SOAR Bucks (Behavioral Rewards). You will setup the shop, sell merchandise and close down the shop at the end of 8th grade lunch. All items are in a rolling closet, making it easy set up and close down. Contact Annette Brown.

2.5 hours weekly (10:30am-12:30pm or 12:30-3:00pm): Supervise and provide support and encouragement to students while they are accessing a quiet, calm room, removed from regular class. Volunteers will be required to go through the D11 background check and fingerprinting process. Contact JoAnna Jones.

Thank you for considering the highlighted options above, or any other identified commitment on the Holmes Volunteer Opportunities page.

Tony Karr, Principal and the Holmes School Accountability Committee
