Degrees and Certifications:
Miss Emily Eberhart
Welcome to my page! My name is Emily Eberhart and I was born and raised in Colorado Springs and School District 11. I attended Grant, Horace Mann, and Wasson. I graduated Wasson in 2001 and went to Adams State University. While majoring in Elementary Education I decided to also follow my love of reading and writing and take up my "fun major", English. After graduating in 2005 I worked at Carver, Irving, Grant, Bristol, Wilson and Finally North. I spent 5 1/2 teaching in Elementary schools as an interventionist and teaching 1st & 2nd grades. When I came to North 5 years ago I found the grade and subject I love, teaching 6th grade ELA.
I play violin and have since I was a 4th grade student at Grant and have been a Girl Scout since kindergarten, earning both my silver and gold awards and becoming a lifetime member. I have traveled to England, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Austria, and nearly 30 states including D.C. and have even driven the northern and southern routes from Virginia to California and back. I have one older brother and have a 3-year-old niece and a 1-year old nephew.
In addition to loving my job and my school I like to spend my time reading just about any book I can get my hands on and writing. I also love to do a myriad of other things including:
Crafting: mostly beading, jewelry making, and sewing
Cooking and baking
Going to the mountains and staying at my cabin
Playing violin and mandolin (and learning the banjo)
Listening to any type of music and watching any type of movie
Being with my family and working on my family history
My other loves include purple, dragons, bears, Angela Lansbury
