Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Lee Skoda

I am so thrilled to be teaching at Madison Elementary School!!  I just wanted to let each of you know a few things about me. This will be my 26th year as a teacher.  I taught first grade for 17 years at Hickam Elementary School. Prior to moving to Hawaii, I taught for seven years with kindergarten, first and second grades in Wichita, Kansas.  I received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wichita State University.

I have 3 cats named Itty, Bitty,  and Six.  I absolutely love to read books and my favorite hobby is playing handbells in a community handbell ensemble.  My favorite color is tie-dye.

First grade is an amazing time as the children learn so many new things (as well as giving me new ideas, too !)  It is my hope to make learning interesting and fun for all the students in our class. I am excited about getting to know your child and seeing all the accomplishments that are made this year.  I am also looking forward to working with you to ensure a successful and enjoyable first grade experience for your child!!
