    Introduction Video

I am Mr. Miller, the Jackson Elementary Music teacher.  I teach the Kindergarten through fifth grade general music classes, as well as the band and orchestra programs.

I am originally from upstate New York. I began playing tuba in fifth grade, and it was life altering.  After many performances in a variety of ensembles, I made the decision to major in music at college.  As much as I love to perform, I discovered my true passion was teaching others about music!

I have been teaching music for over 20 years at all levels from pre-school classes all the way through high school, but my focus has stayed with elementary students   I have been teaching at Jackson since 2007.

While I love to perform, I have many other interests, too.  Those who know me know that I am a huge Star Wars fan.  I also like to camp and hike with my family.  Another activity I enjoy is cooking, especially grilling and baking.

I look forward to making music with you throughout the year and hope to instill in each of my students a love and knowledge of music!
