Where to begin...
It all started when I used to play school at home with my brother. I just loved teaching him new things. It then continued when I got to help in the nursery and children's church. Fast foward a few years and I still love teaching kids new things. I love what I get to do.
I have been teaching 13 years, most of those years in Kindergarten. I truly love building a strong foundation for learning. I am currently teaching 2nd grade. I have enjoyed learning and teaching Math.
Family is a high priority in my life. I grew up in Taos, NM which is a small artistic community. My dad's 8 siblings all lived in this small town with their families and I was surrounded by family everywhere I went. I love the small town feel and is one of the many reasons I love the Jackson Community. It has that small town feel. I met my husband at Jackson, his mom worked with me in my classroom and had him volunteer at the School Carnival. We have been married for a year!
Teaching has always been one of my passions. I am so grateful to teach at Jackson! The staff, parents, and students are part of my family here in Colorado Springs.
