My name is Michele Chappelear and this is my 20th year of teaching. My husband, James, just retired as Colonel in the Air Force after 26 years of service and we've been married for 28years. We have 3 kids: Victoria is 26 and is working on her Masters in Counseling Psychology at University of Denver, Emily is 24 and works for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in North Carolina and my son Nicholas is 21 and a senior at the University of Washington - Seattle. Originally from Maryland, I attended the University of Maryland - College Park where I received my bachelors degree in Chemical Engineeering. I later earned my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Cincinnati. My husband's career has taken us all over the country; and given me the opportunity to teach Chemistry, Physics and Earth Science in Arizona, Nebraska, and New Mexico. We look forward to many more years living in Colorado Springs.
