Hello. This year I am teaching 5 senior English courses. These courses will focus on close critical reading, effective writing, effective communication, and academic and practical research. While we will be reading, viewing, discussing, and writing about a variety of literary genres, a lion share of the course will focus on individual student development of a Capstone Project which is intended to demonstrate student mastery of the D11 Graduate Profile skills for college and career readiness. Understanding and succeeding at this extensive and challenging Capstone Project endeavor will require that students frequently attend class and mange their time in pursuit of Capstone Project goals effectively.

Students are expected to log into Schoology on a daily basis during regularly scheduled class times during remote learning. Inside my Schoology courses, there will be a  link to join daily classes through Webex. All scheduled classes will begin with a Webex meeting.  I will give instruction, model assignment expectations and execution, and engage in classroom discussions through this format. All assignments will be found on the course Schoology page, and will be turned in through the Schoology assignment submit format.

I am available for student access for outside of class help through my Webex Personal Room during periods 2 (10 am - 11 am) and 3 (12 pm - 1 pm) during scheduled class days (these are my planing periods) on Mondays and Thursdays. I am also available for student access for out of class help through my personal Webex room on Wednesdays from 12:45-3:15
