Hello West Middle School families. Thank you for checking in with us. Currently the state of Colorado has issued that schools will be learning remotely until April 30th. During this time we will be updating our website with any updates to counseling services as things change often. Miss Tusler, Ms. Clapham, and Mr. Liles will all have open office hours for students listed below. Parents please use our contact information below and we will contact you within 48 hours.
Office hours: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
We will be returning e-mails and phone calls during the office hours posted above.
Open office hours for students available every Tuesday on Webex:
6th grade with Miss Tusler @ 12-1
7th grade with Ms. Clapham @ 10-11
8th grade with Ms. Clapham @ 1-2
Social Work with Mr. Liles @ 11-12
*There are many advantages and disadvantages to remote counseling and although we cannot ensure the same level of confidentiality in a virtual world West counseling still adheres to reporting any time a student expresses harm to self, harm to others, or when someone intends to or is harming them.
The West Counseling Department collaborates with our diverse population of students, staff, and community to build a safe climate that promotes long-term success. We are equitable and data-driven and meet the needs of the whole student using academic, social and emotional learning, and career and college readiness programming.
Students thrive with intention, purpose and goals. They advocate for support, develop unique academic and emotional strengths, and have the skills to navigate the challenges of a diverse society to profoundly impact our world.
