    GIRLS BASKETBALL: A-Squad defeated Galileo last night to take home their 3rd win of the season! Lauren Hamilton, Lucy Berumen and Brooke Ridgeway led the team getting steal after steal. Holmes now faces Jenkins Thursday at home. Come support your Hawks!

    Congratulations to your B-Squad basketball team! Last night they defeated the Galileo Bulldogs! Eight different Hawks put points on the score board. Leading the team in steals was Ninja Neena. Crashing the boards and leading the team in rebounds was Rock Star Robinson, Aztin "the Animal" Arnell and Lioness Libby. Both basketball teams are off to a good start and are looking forward to the 2nd half of the season.

    GIRLS BASKETBALL: Holmes A-Squad got a win against West last night.  Astoria Spradlin and Anneka Sedemyer got steal after steal. Kallie Rogers got rebounds and put backs extended Holmes lead.  Holmes defense led the way with over 30 steals!

    Congratulations to the B-Squad basketball team for defeating the West Warriors last night. Leading the team in steals was tenacious Tati Gonzalez and crashing the boards with 11 rebounds was Lindsay Aker. Holmes' next opponent is the Galileo Bulldogs on Tuesday.  Coach Barthlow

    HARVEST FRESH VEGETABLES THIS FALL: Any student or staff member wanting to pick fresh vegetables this fall - 2 picking dates have been set! Labor Day, Monday, September 2nd and Saturday, September 14th. Informational flyers are available in the front office or in Mrs. Gauck's room. Going as a group to this open picking saves $4.00 for each person picking vegetables. Let Mrs. Gauck know if you are planning to go. All will meet at the farm before 9:00 a.m.

Track is a no cut sport, so come on out and surprise yourself with what you can learn and do. The first step is to pick up a parent/student track information packet from the front office. The 2nd step is to secure a yellow sports physical form and a blue emergency card from the front office and return them to Ms. Schiller in the front office.  To save time in getting a sports physical, go to a King Soopers store and visit the Little Clinic for your physical.  Practices are Monday through Thursday after school from 3:50 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday mornings. With the hot weather, be sure to have a water bottle (16 oz. for the minimum size). The girls' track coaches believe that you will not be disappointed in coming out for track!
