I have been teaching Social Studies at Palmer High School since 2013. I grew up in Minnetonka, Minnesota and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of Minnesota. After earning my Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in southern California I worked as a youth pastor at a church in San Marino, California. It was during this time that I met my amazing wife, Nikki. In 2011 we moved to Colorado Springs so that Nikki could complete her Doctorate of Psychology. This move afforded me the opportunity to pursue a passion of teaching history and government to high school students, and so after completing my Master's in Teaching at Colorado College I was hired at Palmer and have been loving it ever since.

In late 2015, we were blessed with the birth of our daughter, Elaina (our current and future Terror!) and in the spring of 2019 my son Weston was born. In my free time (is there such a thing for a parent?) I enjoy running, hiking, biking, a good book, or watching any comic book entertainment produced. Well, maybe not Justice League but I digress. I currently teach Modern World History and Geography, Honors World History and U.S. Government (both a part of the Middle Years Program), and IB 20th Century World History (Diploma Program). In addition I am the World History & Geography P.L.C. leader as well as one of the Association Representatives for Palmer High School.
