Because Rudy Elementary is a Capturing Kids’ Hearts School, we want to encourage our families to connect and EXCEL this winter season as we build strong leaders! Here are some fun, positive ideas and activities that students and families can partake in over the winter break! Offer to help clean up.
Bake cookies for a service member of the community or a neighbor.
Smile at every person you see today.
Fill a jar with candy and affirmations to give to a friend or family member.
Do something completely unselfish today!
Play a game or do a puzzle with a friend or someone in your family.
Do something kind for a neighbor…but don’t let them know who did it!
Start a gratitude journal and begin by writing 10 “Good Things” about your life.
Write down all the positive qualities about yourself.
Choose one word that you want to do or be better at in 2020. Write it down. Decorate it. Hang it where you can see it!
Build a family Social Contract to help you have the very best 2020.
Write a thank you note to a friend or family member.
Do a chore around the house without being asked!
Pick up litter in your neighborhood or at a local park. Leave it better than you found it!
