I’m looking forward to another wonderful year at Wilson! I have been an ESL teacher at Wilson for 14 years now.  I enjoy working with the students and families in this community.  Especially when we are able to partake in community events that bring us all together.   I began teaching in D11 as an ESL teacher at Monroe Elementary in 2000.  Prior to that I taught in NYC and Massachusetts as a bilingual teacher for 10 years.  I received my bachelors degree from Middlebury College in VT with a major in French and a minor in Art History.  I graduated from Long Island University with a Masters in Bilingual Education.

I enjoy spending time with my family.  I have a 14 year old who is a D11 student.  He keeps me busy with concerts and Scout meetings.  We also have 2 dogs, Hemi and Lola who we love dearly.  I love spending time with friends hiking and traveling in this beautiful state we live in.  I also look forward to visiting my parents in Puerto Rico during the summers. My hobbies include running, hiking, and working in my garden.

I absolutely love working at Wilson where we are a community dedicated to serving the kids and families of our school!

Welcome to another great year at Wilson! I have been at this amazing school for 18 years.  My teaching began in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1988 and then I moved to Colorado Springs in 1999. I love living here in Colorado and especially love teaching at Wilson. My career took a change when I moved from teaching second grade 7 years ago and became an ELL teacher. I love working with ELL students and families. When I am not working, my favorite thing to do is spending time with my family. My two grandchildren are a great joy to me. I love to read, hike and travel. My mission in life is to always be there for my family and to make a lasting impression on my students. Come by and say hello when you are at Wilson!
