Cooler temperatures and fall colors abound as we begin our second quarter and a new season of learning. Students now know how to navigate in their classes and are ready to dig into their lessons. Please support your children’s education by establishing good learning habits and following their progress regularly.
Our most successful students schedule and use 45 – 60 minutes per day for each class. Schedules vary and can be tailored to individuals and circumstances. Some students like to split the day into two parts while others prefer to get it all done at once. We recommend writing the schedule down where both families and students can see it. Quiet time or space during your family’s school hours help focus and learning occur.
PowerSchool, the District’s new learning management system, is a great tool where families can view grades and attendance. Achieve Online teachers update grades at least weekly, frequently more often. All assignments submitted by midnight Friday are updated no later than 3:00 PM on Tuesdays. Please reach out to teachers and staff with any questions. We love hearing from you.
Staff and students will be collaborating to provide Thanksgiving baskets again this year. Please let your Homeroom teacher or counselor know if you would like to participate. We look forward to visiting with everyone for parent-teacher conferences soon.
