GMP BV DLIP PURPLE STAR Transportation Information
District 11 Transportation provides transportation services for several magnet programs outside of their normal attendance boundaries. The following programs are included with the transportation eligibility requirements for each one.
Purple Star Transportation
Transportation is available for students of military families from Peterson Space Force Base to Jenkins Middle School and Doherty High School who are enrolled in those schools.
Buena Vista (Montessori School)
Transportation is available for kindergarten through fifth grade students enrolled in the program living within the boundary of District 11 and west of Union Boulevard, until it reaches the Circle Dr. & Fillmore St. intersection of Union Blvd, and then west of Circle Dr. south of that intersection.
Gifted Magnet Program (GMP) at Sabin Middle School
Transportation is available for sixth grade through eighth grade students enrolled in the program living within the boundary of District 11 and east of Union Boulevard, until it reaches the Circle Dr. & Fillmore St. intersection of Union Blvd, and then east of Circle Dr. south of that intersection. Sabin Middle School students living within the non-transported area of the Sabin boundary are not eligible.
Gifted Magnet Program (GMP) at West Middle School
Transportation is available for sixth grade through eighth grade students enrolled in the program living within the boundary of District 11 and west of Union Boulevard, until it reaches the Circle Dr. & Fillmore St. intersection of Union Blvd, and then west of Circle Dr. south of that intersection. West Middle School students living within the non-transported area of the West Middle School boundary are not eligible.
Gifted Magnet Program (GMP) at Stratton Elementary School
Transportation is available for kindergarten through fifth grade students enrolled in the program living within the boundary of District 11. Stratton Elementary School students living within the non-transported area of the Stratton boundary are not eligible.
Gifted Magnet Program (GMP) at Fremont Elementary School
Transportation is available for kindergarten through fifth grade students enrolled in the program living within the boundary of District 11. Fremont Elementary School students living within the non-transported area of the Fremont boundary are not eligible.
Dual Language Immersion Program (DLIP) at Rogers Elementary School
Transportation is available for kindergarten through third grade students enrolled in the program living within the boundary of District 11. Rogers Elementary School students living within the non-transported area of the Rogers boundary are not eligible.
Choice bus stops are established at centralized locations and are not supervised. Students must be enrolled in the choice school, in one of the above programs, before they are assigned to a route. For questions related to bus stop locations in your planning process, please call 719-520-2943.
