Penrose Elementary inspires students through Project-Based Learning (PBL), an instructional approach centered on inquiry and real-world problem solving. All students at Penrose engage with PBL at their appropriate developmental levels throughout their elementary years, making school more reflective of the modern world. The goal is to cultivate independent workers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners. As students collaborate to create and present their projects, they develop critical thinking skills, utilize technology, and practice other essential Next Generation skills while mastering curriculum standards. Penrose also places a strong emphasis on supporting students’ social and emotional growth, helping them develop the skills needed for lifelong learning. We are dedicated to ensuring both academic and social success for all students by providing high-quality, engaging learning experiences.

What makes Penrose different? Student-centric learning environments enrich the mind, spark the imagination, and ignite intellectual risk taking to motivate students to become the best they can be. Project Based Learning: More hands-on learning opportunities Project Lead The Way: STEM focus
