SAFETY AND SECURITY: Protecting what matters most

Our communities are aware of the unfortunate uptick in school shootings across the country. D11 already has many safety and security measures to prevent such incidents. In the school year 2023-2034, we are investing in improving safety measures in your student's school.  We will modify the visitor entry systems at all District schools that lack proper visitor control with new visitor vestibules.

We are also supporting these efforts with security training for all D11 staff. Outside experts will be hired to provide schools with focused and intentional training. We will send security and staff members to conferences and training courses that are relevant to safety and security.
