ACCESSIBLITY

We want everyone who visits the District 11 website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.

What are we doing?

Colorado Springs School District 11 has always been committed to providing equitable access to our web content for individuals with disabilities in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

To help us make the D11 website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone. The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the D11 website.

The District has begun a project to ensure that all digital services and content are accessible to all, in our effort to be in compliance with House Bill 21-1110. This law has strengthened state discrimination laws for individuals with disabilities to ensure that all individuals have access to digital content created by local government entities, including websites, applications, documents, and more.

How are we doing?

We've worked hard on the D11 website and believe we've achieved our goal of Level AA accessibility. We monitor the website regularly to maintain this, but if you do find any problems, please get in touch.
