Jennifer collaborates with district teams to coordinate essential student support services, including mental health, behavioral health, school nursing, school discipline, and attendance. Through strategic leadership, partnership with school administrators, and a steadfast commitment to student well-being, she ensures these services are integrated to support academic achievement, positive behavior, and the overall development of every student. By aligning support systems with district priorities, Jennifer leads efforts that elevate student health and engagement. She also serves as a key liaison among staff, families, and community partners, advocating for comprehensive, student-centered approaches that create environments where all students can thrive.

As a member of Student Services Department, Megan is responsible for fielding calls regarding discipline issues, scheduling expulsion due process hearings, and supporting students and families throughout the expulsion period.  Her background in social work allows her to consider the needs of students and families to make community resource referrals that support students to be effective members of our D-11 community. Megan also supports administrators, registrars, and other departments concerning discipline processes and procedures.   She is a vital part of the team and ensures confidentiality.

As a Student Services Department member for eighteen years, Karrie assists with attendance, truancy, and compliance with Colorado Compulsory Attendance Law.  She ensures that no student loses educational opportunities as a result of absences. The major priority is to investigate attendance matters, reduce student absenteeism and tardiness, and prevent students from dropping out or leaving school prior to graduation. She also coordinates and supervises the work of attendance administrators and staff as part of the training and legal process for truancy.

Bridget has been in School District 11 for 20 years, first as an English teacher, department chair and interventionist at Palmer High School and now the McKinney-Vento Specialist and Child Welfare Education Liaison (CWEL). As the McKinney-Vento Specialist, she works with housing unstable students and families; she is responsible for identifying McKinney-Vento students, providing resources to help these students and ensuring that their educational rights are protected as stated in the Federal Law. As the CWEL, she works with child placement agencies, county departments, and the state department to facilitate the prompt and appropriate placement, transfer, and enrollment in school of students in out-of-home placement. Her work supports students across all D11 schools, including charter schools, and across all grade levels, from preschool through 12^th grade.

Through the Colorado School Counselor Corps Grant, Margaret provides leadership, professional development, and strategic support at the school, district, and state levels to strengthen comprehensive school counseling programs that serve all D11 students.

Colleen is a School Counselor at Russell Middle School and serves as District 11’s Middle School Counseling Team Lead within the Student Services Department. In her district leadership role, Colleen acts as a bridge between site-based middle school counselors and central administration, ensuring consistent communication, collaboration, and support. She provides monthly updates to middle school counselors, facilitates counseling breakout groups during quarterly Area Health Team meetings, co-leads middle school Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and serves as a point of contact for questions and guidance related to middle school counseling practices. Through this work, Colleen supports alignment, shared problem-solving, and best practices across District 11 middle schools.

As the District 11 Co-Lead School Nurses, Nicole and Lisa focus on enhancing the practice of the entire team of nurses.  They encourage all of the D11 nurses to care for our students within the scope, practice, and standards of school nursing through the use of the School Nursing Practice Framework of the National Association of School Nurses to help all students be “ready to learn.”  Nicole and Lisa have diligently provided care coordination by collaborating with students, parents/guardians, outside providers, school staff, and other stakeholders to ensure that students receive the best care.  It is their goal to ensure that every child has a safe and healthy environment to achieve their academic education.

Jessica Medina is the  Lead School Psychologist in District 11.  She has worked in the district for over 20 years, spending 7 of those as a Behavior Consultant and the last 14 as the School Based Mental Health Provider at Sabin Middle School. Jessica is now part of the District's School Psychology Assessment Team, serving the Northeast Area. She is excited to support school teams, mental health providers and school psychology interns in District 11.

Devra Melchi serves as the District Lead Social Worker.  She has served nearly 20 years as a School Social Worker for District 11.  She works at Achieve Online, and also supports new Social Workers in the District to advocate for their students and work directly with families to ensure their students’ academic success.
