Meagan provides leadership for Student Success, working alongside schools, district teams, families, and community partners to ensure students have the support they need to succeed. Her work helps connect and strengthen services related to student well-being, behavioral and mental health, school nursing, attendance, discipline, and other areas that support the whole student.

With a focus on collaboration and student-centered practices, Meagan works to remove barriers, strengthen support systems, and help create safe, welcoming, and supportive learning environments throughout District 11. She is committed to ensuring students and families feel connected, supported, and empowered so every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

Maria Black serves as the Behavioral Health Coordinator within the Student Success Department, supporting efforts to promote the behavioral, social-emotional, and overall well-being of students throughout District 11.

In her role, Maria collaborates with school teams, district staff, and other partners to help strengthen behavioral health supports and connect schools with resources that address the diverse needs of students. Her work contributes to a coordinated, student-centered approach that recognizes the important connection between well-being, engagement, and academic success.

Through collaboration, advocacy, and a commitment to supporting the whole student, Maria helps strengthen systems that promote safe, supportive, and welcoming learning environments where students can feel connected, supported, and ready to succeed.

As a member of the Student Success Department, Megan plays an important role in supporting students, families, and schools throughout District 11. She assists with questions related to student discipline, coordinates expulsion due process hearings, and provides support to students and families throughout the expulsion process.

With a background in social work, Megan brings a thoughtful, student-centered approach to her work. She helps connect students and families with community resources and services that can provide additional support and promote positive outcomes.

Megan also works closely with school administrators, registrars, and district departments to provide guidance and support related to discipline processes and procedures. As a valued member of the Student Success team, she is committed to providing compassionate, professional support while maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of the students and families she serves.

As a dedicated member of the Student Success Department, Karrie supports students, families, and schools by helping address attendance concerns and reducing barriers that may prevent students from fully engaging in their education. Her work focuses on attendance, truancy, and compliance with Colorado’s Compulsory School Attendance Law, with an emphasis on helping students remain connected to school and on track toward graduation.

Karrie works collaboratively with families, school staff, and administrators to identify and address patterns of absenteeism and tardiness before they interfere with a student’s educational success. She also provides guidance, training, and support to attendance administrators and staff regarding district procedures and the legal processes associated with truancy.

Through her commitment to early intervention, collaboration, and student-centered support, Karrie helps ensure students have every opportunity to attend, engage, and succeed in school.

Bridget brings extensive experience in Colorado Springs School District 11, having served in a variety of roles including English teacher, department chair, and interventionist at Palmer High School. She now serves as the district’s McKinney-Vento Specialist and Child Welfare Education Liaison (CWEL) as part of the Student Success team.

As the McKinney-Vento Specialist, Bridget supports students and families experiencing housing instability by helping identify eligible students, connecting families with resources, and ensuring students receive the educational rights and protections provided under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. Her work helps reduce barriers to school enrollment, attendance, participation, and academic success during times of housing transition.

In her role as the Child Welfare Education Liaison, Bridget collaborates with child placement agencies, county departments, schools, and state partners to support the timely and appropriate placement, transfer, and enrollment of students in out-of-home care.

Bridget’s work reaches students throughout District 11, including charter schools, and across all grade levels from preschool through 12th grade. Through collaboration, advocacy, and a commitment to educational stability, she helps ensure students remain connected to school and have the support and resources they need to succeed.

Meg serves as the Lead Elementary Counselor within the Student Success Department, supporting elementary school counselors and helping strengthen school counseling services across District 11. Through collaboration, leadership, and a student-centered approach, Meg works to support practices that promote the academic, social-emotional, and overall well-being of elementary students.

Meg works alongside school counselors, administrators, district teams, and other partners to help ensure students have access to supportive and responsive school counseling services. She provides guidance and support to elementary counselors while helping foster consistency, collaboration, and the sharing of effective practices across schools.

With a commitment to supporting the whole child, Meg helps create welcoming and supportive school environments where students feel connected, valued, and prepared to learn and grow. Her work contributes to the Student Success Department’s goal of removing barriers and ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive.

Kodi is a School Counselor at Sabin Middle School and serves as District 11’s Middle School Counseling Team Lead within the Student Success Department. In her district leadership role, Kodi helps connect school-based middle school counselors with district leadership, supporting consistent communication, collaboration, and resources across D11 middle schools.

Kodi provides regular updates and guidance to middle school counselors, facilitates counseling breakout groups during Area Health Team meetings, co-leads middle school Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and serves as a point of contact for questions and support related to middle school counseling practices.

Through collaboration, shared problem-solving, and a commitment to student-centered practices, Kodi helps strengthen and align middle school counseling services throughout District 11. Her work supports counselors in addressing the academic, social-emotional, and developmental needs of middle school students while helping ensure students have access to consistent, comprehensive, and supportive counseling services throughout their middle school experience.

Nicole serves as a Co-Lead Nurse within the Student Success Department, providing leadership and support to school nurses and health services across District 11. Through collaboration, guidance, and a commitment to student well-being, Nicole helps support school health practices that promote safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for all students.

Nicole works alongside school nurses, administrators, district teams, families, and community partners to help ensure students' health needs are supported throughout the school day. As a co-lead, she helps strengthen communication, collaboration, and consistency among school health professionals while supporting practices and procedures that contribute to quality care across the district.

With a focus on the connection between health and learning, Nicole is committed to helping remove health-related barriers to education and ensuring students have the support they need to participate, learn, and thrive in school.

Lisa serves as a Co-Lead Nurse within the Student Success Department, providing leadership and support to school nurses and health services throughout District 11. Through collaboration, guidance, and a student-centered approach, Lisa helps promote school health practices that support the safety, well-being, and educational success of students.

Lisa works collaboratively with school nurses, administrators, district teams, families, and community partners to help address student health needs and strengthen health services across schools. As a co-lead, she supports communication, professional collaboration, and consistent practices among school health professionals while helping connect schools with the information and resources needed to support students.

Recognizing that student health plays an important role in academic success and school engagement, Lisa is committed to helping create safe and supportive environments where students can be healthy, engaged, and ready to learn.

Jessica serves as the Lead School Psychologist within the Student Success Department and brings more than 20 years of experience supporting students, staff, and schools throughout District 11. During her time with the district, Jessica has served in several roles, including Behavior Consultant and School-Based Mental Health Provider at Sabin Middle School, giving her extensive experience in student behavior, mental health, and school-based support.

In addition to her leadership role, Jessica is a member of the district’s School Psychology Assessment Team, serving schools in the Northeast Area. She works collaboratively with school teams, mental health providers, school psychologists, administrators, and other district professionals to help ensure students receive responsive and comprehensive support.

As Lead School Psychologist, Jessica is committed to supporting and strengthening school psychology services throughout District 11. She provides leadership, guidance, and support to school teams and mental health professionals and is passionate about supporting the development of school psychology interns as they prepare to serve students and families.

With a strong commitment to student well-being and collaborative problem-solving, Jessica helps strengthen systems of support that address students’ academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health needs, helping create environments where every student has the opportunity to succeed and thrive.

Devra serves as District 11’s District Lead Social Worker within the Student Success Department and brings nearly 20 years of experience as a School Social Worker in D11. In addition to her district leadership role, Devra serves students and families at Achieve Online.

As District Lead Social Worker, Devra provides guidance, support, and mentorship to school social workers throughout the district, including those who are new to their roles. She helps strengthen collaboration and supports social workers as they advocate for students, partner with families, and connect students with the services and resources they need to be successful.

Through a student-centered and family-focused approach, Devra works to help remove barriers that may impact a student’s academic success and overall well-being. Her commitment to collaboration, advocacy, and strong family partnerships helps ensure students and families throughout District 11 feel supported, connected, and empowered to succeed.

Dr. Sandy Mullennix serves as an Audiologist within District 11’s Student Success Department, supporting students with hearing and auditory needs to help ensure they have equitable access to learning and meaningful participation in the school environment.

In her role, Dr. Mullennix collaborates with students, families, educators, school-based teams, and other professionals to help identify and address hearing-related needs that may impact a student’s communication, classroom engagement, and educational success. She provides specialized knowledge and support to help school teams understand how hearing can affect a student’s ability to access instruction and participate fully in their education.

Through collaboration, advocacy, and a student-centered approach, Dr. Mullennix helps reduce hearing-related barriers to learning and supports environments where students can communicate, connect, and succeed.

Cindy serves as the Health Screener Coordinator within District 11’s Student Success Department, supporting health screening efforts that help identify potential concerns that may affect a student’s health, well-being, and ability to fully participate in their education.

In her role, Cindy helps coordinate health screening services across the district and works collaboratively with school health professionals, staff, and other district teams to support students and schools. Her work helps ensure screening processes are organized, consistent, and focused on identifying students who may benefit from additional follow-up or support.
