Student Engagement Steering Committee

Hello D-11 Community!

This year the Department of Student Engagement has endeavored to expand our level of collaboration with you, our community. Given this is our goal, we looked for actions that represented the inclusion of all voices in our work. Previous work done by this department and school staff had created a fantastic foundation through the work of the Discipline Committee. The prior iteration of the committee made a new discipline matrix, updated and guided policy work, and created a Student Conduct, Attendance, and Discipline Code handbook, among many other notable outcomes.

We intend to build on this previous great work by reforming and expanding the Student Engagement Steering Committee. We now have a committee informed by the voices of students, families, community members, teachers, special educators, support staff, and administrators. Our commitment is to ensure our work in D 11 is representative and aligned with our community's direction that we should proceed with policy, guidance, programming, and professional development.

As the Department of Student Engagement, we want to thank all of our Steering Committee members for the time and intentional efforts they have already put into this work and look forward to what we create together.
