Student Engagement

INTRODUCTION:

Our vision is to create and support an environment in the District Eleven Community to engage and guide our students toward their greatest opportunities.

The Student Engagement Department will be leading and supporting the implementation of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) across the district. 

Our focus on SEL will provide all students with developmentally minded knowledge, skills, and strategies to be their best and function at a high academically focused level.   

In addition to SEL, the Student Engagement Department provides recommendations to school officials on guiding discipline matters, provides training for school officials to manage appropriate student behavior equitably, and protects the due process rights of students who interrupt school rules and policies.
 
One of the main roles of the Department of Student Engagement is to serve as the official attendance department for the District, upholding Colorado Compulsory Attendance Laws. Overseeing District attendance gives this department opportunities to provide support to families with difficulties attending school.  

Our goal is to provide a nurturing and safe school environment that is conducive to learning, personal growth, and the overall success of all students. This can best be achieved when expectations and consequences are clear and consistently enforced.
