STANDARDS

The Colorado Academic Standards for Science are adapted from the Next Generation Science Standards and emphasize learning science in a three-dimensional approach which includes (1) science practices, (2) overarching concepts, and (3) content in physical, life, Earth, and space science. Examples of science practices include asking questions, conducting investigations, and analyzing data while overarching concepts focus on ideas such as patterns, systems, and cause and effect.
