Science

Science education in Colorado Springs School District 11 aims to ensure that ALL students:

• have an appreciation and wonder of science.

• possess a sufficient understanding of science to be informed citizens.

• are careful consumers of scientific information related to their everyday lives.

• are equipped to continue learning about science throughout their lives.

• have the skills to enter careers of their choice, whether in STEM-related fields or not.

To this end, D11 provides all students with the opportunity to explore natural phenomena in the physical, life, Earth, and space sciences  while thinking, working, and communicating like scientists.
