PPSC Nursing / CNA

District 11 partners with Pikes Peak State College to offer junior and seniors access to the accelerated CAREER START program in NURSING ASSISTANT CNA. This one semester program provides students 11.5 COLLEGE CREDITS, includes clinical experience, and prepares them to sit for the state exam to be a licensed CNA.

PPSC CNA Certification

The Career and Technical Education Department of Colorado Springs School District 11 values the commitment to health sciences that you are making. Upon successful completion of required coursework, students are eligible to take the certified nursing assistant board examination.

In support of your nursing program, the Colorado Springs D11 Concurrent Enrollment department will cover the cost of the following items:
- Tuition & Course Registration
- Textbook
- Fee for state CNA testing
- Blood Pressure Cuff with a stethoscope
- 1 Set of Scrubs
- Gait Belt & NUA Patch

Students taking the CNA certification courses either through Career Start or general Concurrent Enrollment are responsible for the following fees and costs.
- Shoes
- Black Pen
- PPSC Nametag
- Watch with Sweeping Second Hand
- Pad of Paper
- Drug Screen Test
