Space Available Transportation Application

Your child may be provided transportation on a space available basis, which is subject to the following provisions:

Bus stops will not be changed to or developed in a non-transported area. Students will have to board the bus at existing bus stops. These stops have been designed for the safe loading and unloading of students in the district approved transported areas and have not been designed for students who are not eligible for transportation.
Parents are responsible for the safety of their children getting to and from the assigned space available school bus stop. Crossing major arterials, roads, or thoroughfares to get to a bus stop is not in the safest interest of your child.
Parents will not park cars / wait for the school bus in the immediate vicinity of the bus stop. Such actions have the potential to adversely impact the safety of your child and other children eligible for transportation services that are assigned to that bus stop.
Applying and being eligible for Space Available Transportation is not a guarantee that a seat on the bus will always be available for your child. Space on the school bus may not be available and your child may be denied transportation at any time during the school year. Parents need to plan appropriately for alternative means of transportation going to and from school.
Bus routes may be subject to change. Note: Many stops have changed for 2026-27. Based on the number of eligible riders, routes may be combined or eliminated resulting in changes to bus stop locations and / or no space available on the bus.
Students are subject to compliance with all the school bus safety rules and regulations. Any student, who is a space available student, and is involved in any misconduct on the bus, or at the bus stop, may be removed from all District 11 buses for the remainder of the school year, with no further eligibility for space available transportation privileges.
