We would like to get the word out about this program to D11 parents who lack a high school diploma or have a high school diploma but still show that they are below a 12th grade level. Our program consists of classes in manufacturing, IT and early childhood development for students 17 years of age or older, who would like to improve their employment. Our website is www.careerboostco.org and all of our materials are in English and Spanish.
Did you know District 11 schools work hard to build strong relationships between home and school? Most all D11 schools have a Family Involvement Toolkit Coach, or F.I.T. Coach who designs plans throughout the school year to increase family involvement. Be part of your school’s community to increase family involvement by joining the PTA, PTO, F.I.T. planning, or a variety of other opportunities. Together we all help our students succeed! For more information on the Family Involvement Toolkit, please visit d11.org/communications and click on the family involvement links, or call the main office to get involved.
The School District 11 Board of Education is seeking community input in the search for a new superintendent. Community members may participate in a survey and/or community feedback meetings to identify the top characteristics in a superintendent most important to School District 11.
