  • 2nd Grade iPad Deployment

We know this has been a difficult week, especially on our 2nd grade students and families!  But we did get some good news in that your new iPads have arrived!  Especially during this time, we know it would be really helpful to have some technology in your hands and we want to get them to you!  Below, if you would pick a time that you could swing by and pick your child's iPad, we will have it ready for you!  Just pull into the front parking lot, near the entrance, and we will have a team of people there to help you.  We will need to fill out paperwork again for the new iPad, so it will take a few minutes!  We will also ask that you please return any laptops and chargers you have borrowed during the 1st quarter and have those with you when you arrive.  Thank you 2nd grade parents and let's get this new tech to you!

  • Penrose e-Learning - In Session!

While this has been a challenging start for the 2020-2021 school year, it is clear that our Penrose Community is stronger than ever!  Our families have done an amazing job, getting our kids the work space they need to do their online learning. Our teachers have put in hundreds of hours in preparation for our students, trying to locate great online resources and creating their virtual classrooms! Breakfast and lunch are still available and being provided by the Penrose cafeteria Monday-Friday. We have put out nearly 350 devices for home use, with more on the way!

  • Parent/Guardian/Teacher Conferences

It’s hard to believe we are more than halfway through the first quarter of the school year! Despite the challenges of the pandemic, it’s still vital for families to connect with their child’s teacher(s). Parent/Guardian/Teacher conferences will soon be taking place, and although they may be virtual or different than in the past, there are still some things that never change. For starters, be prepared with the questions you have for your child’s teacher(s). Second, be open and honest and share your child’s strengths and weaknesses, letting the teacher know how best to work with your student. Third, keep the lines of communication open and let your child’s teacher(s) know the best way to reach you. Ask the best way to contact them should you have questions or concerns that arise.
