  • Why Project Based Learning?

    Project Based Learning (PBL) is an  instructional approach that  focuses on inquiry. Given an essential question, students work collaboratively on projects to address issues specific to our community.  


    Here is a great example about Penrose PBL Projects.  Our Kindergartners identified a real world problem, with kids not having enough warm clothes on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.  They spent weeks learning about what kindness and caring really are, then decided to gather up gloves, hats, and coats to donate to those students in need.  Check out the FOX21 news story about it below!

  • Penrose to host Cooking class for Parents and Students

  • Second Cup of Coffee

    Monday, August 27th, from 8:35 am - 9:00 am, Principal Sobin invites parents to stop by the Penrose Library for a Second Cup of Coffee!  Come find out what is happening in our school, make suggestions, and feel free to ask questions while enjoying some coffee and snacks!
