To begin, I'll share a little about myself.  I have been teaching for over two decades.  This is my eleventh year at Chipeta.  My experience is mostly in second and third grades, but I have taught fourth grade as well.  I have two grown children, an adorable grandson, and a new granddaughter.  My favorite hobbies include hiking, four wheeling and traveling.  I love adventures! 

Second grade offers an amazing year of experiences.  Children go from learning to read and using basic math skills, to reading in order to learn, making inferences, thinking critically, and independently problem solving using a variety of strategies and skills.
