Click here to watch Dr. Thomas' interview (filmed on March 23) with KKTV on updates on schools in the Pikes Peak region. This is really good information on where our district (and others) are headed in the weeks to come.
Dear Carver Families,
Amidst the growing concerns around COVID-19, our recent school closure, and our understanding that families may need additional support at this time, please find the attached Community Resource Guide (English/Spanish) as a way to reference systems that are already in place in the community.
Our own Carver community's desire to help has always been an admirable and special focus (i.e. Harvest of Love). But at this time, we are asking that all efforts be streamlined to existing and established programs already in place. The generous nature of our own to ask, "How can we help?" or "What can we do?" is understandable, but please don't make people come to you. We encourage everyone to support and encourage the use of already existing systems. This minimizes contagion and supports confidentiality.
If there is additional information you may need, or any questions you may have, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will be checking my school voicemail and email from home. Be safe and healthy, Carver Cougars!

The 2020 census count will be how the Federal government determines the amount of money that will be given to our schools for the next ten years. Most of the programs funded from the count are for serving our students living in low-income households and students with disabilities. Historically the ten-year census has undercounted populations in large urban areas like ours, and we would like to work towards making sure our community is properly funded with an accurate count. Everyone counts. Learn more at www.2020Census.gov.
District 11 will be suppling ALL of Carver students with school supplies for the 2020-2021 School Year.
