Kindergarten music classes focus on building musical connections and improving musical skills. Students learn simple songs, fingerplays with rhymes, and musical movement. Visit the Kingergarten Songs page to listen to recordings of the music we are performing in class.

Our unofficial "mascot" is Herman the Worm. We sing this fun counting song in class about once a week. Have your student sing along at home with the video below!

"The Cat Came Back" is another favorite that we watch and sing occasionally in class. Remember to sing along with the chorus, "The cat came back, the very next day..."

"The Monkey Dance" gets us up and moving. Dance when you hear the chorus, "Everybody do the monkey dance..." and stand still while you answer Mr. Greg's questions!
