Mrs. Catherine Mlodzik

HI! My name is Catherine (Cathy) Mlodzik, and I teach Second Grade. This is my fourth year at Freedom and my fourteenth year teaching. I have taught second and third grade for the duration of my career.

I have a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Culturally Linguistic Diverse Education. Also, I have a specialist degree with a focus in Administration and Leadership. Presently, I am working a doctorate in Education.

I am originally from a small town in Minnesota that is 80 miles from the Canadian border. My town is so small that we only have two stoplights! We came to Colorado Springs after my husband retired from the military. After his retirement, he became a teacher, too!

I have two daughters, one who was in the Navy and now works for a contractor in Virginia. The youngest is a college student at the University of Wyoming. She is in the Western Thunder Marching Band, GO POKES!

I look forward to working with your child! I cannot wait to meet you!
