Degrees and Certifications:

In 2008, I received my Master’s Degree in Reading Education from the University of South Florida. My Bachelor’s Degree is in Elementary Education, received from the University of Central Florida. My Colorado (and Florida) Certification is for Elementary Education K-6 and Reading Education K-12.

Miss Michelle Digman

My name is Michelle Digman. I am one of the third grade teachers at Vera G. Scott Elementary. The Third Grade curriculum will engage and motivate students on wanting to learn. I am looking forward to seeing tremendous growth with my students in their acdemic skills. My goal is to motivate and teach students the skills, strategies, and knowledge to become successful lifelong learners.

2021-2022 starts my sixteenth year of teaching, and my sixth year in District 11! This will be my second year at Vera G. Scott Elementary School. Previously, I taught third and fourth grade at Christa McAuliffe Elementary for four years. Before coming to Colorado, I taught for ten years in Flroida, teachingdifferent grades from Pre-K to 12th. I was also a Testing Coordinator for three years. 

I was born in Florida, but moved to and grew up in Pueblo County for ten years. I moved back to Florida to finish my last year of high school, and continued my education through college. The majority of my family lives in Florida. I moved to Colorado Springs late summer of 2016, and I enjoy it very much! I just bought my first house in the Summer of 2020. I have one cat, named Pandora. When I am not teaching, I work as a doula.
