BACKGROUND CHECKS

  • Board Policy IJOC and IJOC-R, as well as IJOA, require D11 volunteers who perform their duties without the supervision of a District 11 employee to submit to an extensive background check to include being finger printed  as we do potential employees.

A preliminary background check is conducted on a monthly basis through a computer generated random list of individuals registered as a District 11 volunteer.

Results of all background checks are shared with school administrators.

    Step 2:

However, the check should accompany the individual(s) at the time the fingerprints are taken.  The journal entry form needs to be used if you are charging a fund 10, 74 or 22.  It is available online on the intranet.  Completed and signed journal entry forms must accompany the individual(s) when requesting fingerprints to be taken OR must be sent to Volunteer Services before the individual(s) comes to have their prints taken. The potential volunteer proceeds to Security to have their fingerprints taken.
