The D11 Community Resource Bank provides a variety of ways for students and the community to exchange information and opportunities:
- Classroom Speakers
- Field Trips
- Career Exploration Events, Fairs or Panels.
- Science, STEM or Resource Nights…
- Keep checking back. These pages growing everyday!
A guest speaker offers an excellent way to either introduce or conclude a class unit. The words and experience of someone deeply familiar with the topic offers a fresh perspective from day-to-day classwork while putting a personal face on potentially broad and hard-to-understand concepts. Many local organizations offer free ongoing community outreach presentations and field trip opportunities. Please click on these CRB classroom speaker & field trip opportunities by subject listed below. Requesting instructions are detailed on each flyer.
All CRB presenters are registered with Volunteer Services and their presentation has been approved by the Curriculum Department Facilitator of that subject. The Presenter, requesting Teacher, and school Administrative Assistant will receive an email confirmation upon completion of the request. All classroom speakers must have a confirmation document for each scheduled school visit.
If you need a speaker not covered by the above topics, please click Teacher Request Form to submit a request on your area of interest.
D11 Policy requires that we account for all speakers coming to our schools. When you request a speaker through Volunteer Services the confirmation document provides this “accounting”. If you contact and schedule your own speaker just let us know and we will create a confirmation for their visit. Please use this form to tell me about your speaker’s visit!
If you have scheduled your own presenter, please click here and your speaker's scheduled appearance will be registered and confirmed.
