S.T.E.A.M. is based on problem solving through collaboration, communication, critical thinking and an engineering design model. Students receive lessons on the importance of a growth mindset. During STEAM instruction students are encouraged to take risks. Critical thinking through planning, designing and creating solutions to real world problems is a key component that supports learning across content areas.
The integration of the arts with STEM, creates increased opportunities for students to solve problems and create in a wide variety of ways. Students are able to interact with content through innovation and creativity.
